WHY REBUILD THE ECONOMY?

We have the greatest opportunity to kick start the fastest economic growth cycle the world as ever seen and to do it in a way that will be sustainable. The potential that we have access to in terms of resources, innovation, new thinking and the understanding of previous experiences augers well for us to do things differently and through that get new results. Our understanding of past mistakes becomes the stepping stone to build again – but this time with added wisdom to achieve sustainable growth.

The global economic crisis brought about by the impact of COVID-19 has undoubtedly brought an end to the last economic and business era. But with the end of any era comes the arising of a new one – often built on different thinking, founded on different values and seeking different outcomes.

Could this be the perfect opportunity for us to rebuild our businesses, economies and nations in a different, more robust and sustainable way? Perhaps even an opportunity to build something that we can leave to our children and grandchildren as an inheritance for them to build their wealth and prosperity?

REGARDING RE …

The prefix RE is an interesting and yet powerful one.

  • RE-set
  • RE-align
  • RE-start
  • RE-ignite
  • RE-calibrate
  • RE-focus
  • RE-store
  • RE-build …

For us to RE-build we need a view of the past and present, and have insights into the future.

We need a grasp of what has worked and what hasn’t and even more importantly why. We ideally want to have a blueprint, perhaps a menu and recipe that we can follow that will get us to our desired end result.

Over generations we have seen empires, nations, economies, businesses rise and fall. From this there are perhaps some useful signs and indicators for us to use as clues to guide us forward as we shift from one economic era to another.

Perhaps the ancient wisdom of the Bible and Torah holds some vital wisdom and hard-coded principles that determine either the achievement of long term sustainable prosperity or decline of people, economies and nations.

WHAT DO WE SEE – 'THE START OF A NEW ERA'

Interestingly the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English defines a new life/day/era as a period that is just beginning, especially one that seems to offer better opportunities.

The changing of an era offers better opportunities for those who decide to embrace the new era as they let go of the old. This new era we have entered into will be no different. Those that hold on to the old will quickly disappear and those that quickly grasp the new will flourish.

The dawning of a new era ultimately means that new ways of thinking emerge, new value systems arise, new ways of doing things develop as new outcomes are sort. With this a new path that leads to new levels of flourishing is determined and pursued.

We invite you to join us on building this new path.
